The Youngstown and Southern Railway, a smaller interurban railways in
the state of Ohio; The Y&S ran between Youngstown, Ohio and the
Ohio River at Smith Ferry, Ohio.
YS served several coal mines in the area.
A most notable feature was its electrified mainline, that was home to
freight traction locomotives, trolleys and high powered steam
locomotives.
